A walk through Nozawa Onsen

Wow! We fell in love with Nozawa Onsen, besides snowboarding this ancient but alive hot spring town gave us a peak into authentic Japan.

Good reason for Roderick to take his camera out and captured the fairytale-like atmosphere of this village, that is even more enchanting because of the snow. The serenity of the temple, with its complex woodwork. The villagers walking around with there basket full of bathing equipment to take a bath at one of the public onsen. And the steaming outdoor onsen, that is still used as a common kitchen to boil the eggs and vegetables. It is all magical! Check out the photos and take a stroll through old Japan!

Walking down we see an area of the village covered in steam... The onses here are close to boiling temperature and perfect fot the villages to cook their vegetables and eggs! So nice!
